Saturating Colorado with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Colorado Baptist General Convention is made up of more than 400 Southern Baptist churches and missions across Colorado. We're a diverse bunch -- worshipping in traditional campus-based church buildings, in homes, in the workplace, on ski slopes, in barns, and many other locations. As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Colorado's Southern Baptists support about 5,000 missionaries serving the United States, Canada, Guam and the Caribbean, and more than 5,000 more missionaries in 153 nations of the world. Southern Baptists share a common bond of basic Biblical beliefs and a commitment to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world. Colorado's Southern Baptists are specifically intentional in penetrating all pockets of lostness within our state.

Southern Baptist Convention

Since its organization in 1845 in Augusta, Georgia, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has grown to over 16 million members who worship in more than 42,000 churches in the United States. Southern Baptists sponsor about 5,000 home missionaries serving the United States, Canada, Guam and the Caribbean, as well as sponsoring more than 5,000 foreign missionaries in 153 nations of the world. The term "Southern Baptist Convention" refers to both the denomination and its annual meeting. Working through 1,200 local associations and 41 state conventions and fellowships, Southern Baptists share a common bond of basic Biblical beliefs and a commitment to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world. You become a Southern Baptist by uniting with a Southern Baptist church, one in friendly cooperation with the general Southern Baptist enterprise of reaching the world for Christ. Typically church membership is a matter of accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord and experiencing believer's baptism by immersion.

Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary - Rocky Mountain Campus

The Rocky Mountain campus (RMC) of Golden Gate Seminary is located in Centennial, Colo., near Denver. The campus, established in 1996 as the fifth regional campus of Golden Gate Seminary, is easily accessible from anywhere in the Denver metro area.

Classes, offices, and the library are all housed in the offices of the Colorado Baptist General Convention. This enables students to interact with state denominational leaders as well as with leaders within the Southern Baptist Convention at large. The combined resources of these two agencies assure that there is a long-term commitment to the stability and success of each student at the Rocky Mountain Campus. Resident staff includes a director, three faculty, an administrative assistant and a librarian. Faculty Directory Staff Directory

Like all of Golden Gate’s campuses, the Rocky Mountain campus is designed to be accessible to students already involved in ministry where they live, without having to put ministry on hold in order to pursue theological training. The Rocky Mountain campus offers classes for students from Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, and Utah.
